4. Payment Terms

• Hire Fee: £_____________ (including booking deposit of 25%) total cost must be paid 30 days before hire period begins
• Security Deposit: £____________ (held for potential damage/excess)
• Payment method:

Deposit must be paid before the hire period begins and will be refunded within 7 days of vehicle return, minus any charges for damage, late return, or breach of terms.

5. Driver Eligibility

The Hirer confirms:

• They are aged between 30 and 75.
• Have held a full valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
• Have no more than 6 penalty points (subject to insurance conditions).
• Will not allow anyone else to drive the vehicle unless agreed in writing with the Owner and covered by insurance.

The Hirer consents to a DVLA licence check.

6. Insurance & Breakdown Cover

• Fully comprehensive insurance is provided for the named driver(s) only.
• A security deposit will be held and used in the event of insurance excess claims or uninsured losses.
• UK-wide breakdown cover is included.

Insurance will not cover:

• Negligence or misuse.
• Theft if keys are left in or with the vehicle.
• Damage due to speeding, racing, or driving off-road.

7. Use of Vehicle

The Hirer agrees:

• To return the vehicle in the same condition it was collected by no later than 11am on the agreed date of return.
• Not to smoke inside the vehicle.
• Not to carry more passengers than there are seatbelts.
• Not to travel outside the UK without prior written consent.
• To use only campsites or safe overnight parking locations.
• To comply with all UK road traffic laws.

8. Fuel, Water & Waste

• The vehicle is provided with a full tank of diesel and must be returned full.
• Toilet cassette and waste tanks must be emptied and cleaned before return. Failure to do so will result in a £50 charge per tank.

9. Cancellations

• Cancellation more than 30 days before hire: Full refund
• Cancellation 15–30 days before hire: 50% refund
• Cancellation less than 15 days before hire: No refund
• The Owner reserves the right to cancel hire due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. vehicle breakdown, accident) – in this case, all payments will be fully refunded.

10. Breakages, Damage, and Cleaning

The Hirer is responsible for:

• Any interior or exterior damage (excluding fair wear and tear).
• Breakages or loss of equipment.
• A cleaning fee of £50 if the motorhome is returned in poor condition.
• Tyre, windscreen, or underbody damage due to negligent driving.

11. Liability

The Owner is not liable for:

• Loss or damage to the Hirer’s property.
• Any travel or accommodation costs incurred due to breakdowns or accidents.
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond the Owner’s control.
